FRIM is known as Forest Research Institution of Malaysia. It is located in Bukit Lagong, Kepong, 16km North West of Kuala Lumpur and was founded in 1929, covering up to 600 hectors of well-managed forest. There are jungle trails and a walkway canopy hanging 30 meters from the ground expanding over a distance of 200 meters with four viewing platform. There are also a herb garden, a library and forest museum, exhibiting different species of tropical wood and information on different type of forest system in Malaysia.
Opening hours FRIM is open from 5.00 AM – 7.30 PM (but is closed from 7.30 AM – 8.30 AM) for jogging, cycling and mountain biking. Last entry is at 06.30 PM.
